How to write a story?

Hello again, it's has been 1 year I know iFixit and 2 months I sign in and I really like it, for repairing my stuff as well as for helping others to fix their devices, even if I'm not as good as you guys, I only do easy things :).

Well, it has all started when I decided to upgrade the CPU of my iMac 20" late 2008, I've never went that far and I've never opened an iMac but I'm confident.

I've already received my CPU and I'm just waiting for the suction cup I ordered on eBay.

I'd really like to share my experience by writing a story with all my steps with photos, but I can't find how to do so. The guide for iMac doesn't provide CPU replacement but I guess you don't need it as it's just after the heat sink removal right ?

Can anyone indicates me how to write a story ?

Thanks

As of right now, we only give a link to write a story to customers who have purchased parts or tools from us. However, we're looking forward to creating a new feature which will allow anyone to write stories about our parts, tools, and guides, even if they're not a customer, but this feature is still a little ways out.

When we're finished with it, this new feature will allow us to have much tighter integration between stories, parts, and guides, and it should help to show everyone that these repairs can easily be done at home by people just like yourself.

That'll be nice, I couldn't have bought a CPU from iFixit :). It'll promote your guides and encourage people to follow them and probably buy your parts.

I'll post my feedback on the question I asked about it.

Well, I bought something thanks to the coupon gift (thanks iFixit, that's really appreciated :) ).

Btw, why is the shipping 15 days faster to France than to Canada whereas it's more expensive ? I don't get it :).

Hello i've bought something in the europe store and I want to write a story about it. But when I look at the ifixit.com site I can't see my purchase from the europe store.

That's correct; the two systems are almost entirely separate. If you email me at james@ifixit.com with the parts you purchased, I'll construct something manually for you.

Great! You should receive an automatic email providing instructions on how to submit a story to the site.
