Title:

Battery Temp Warning After Screen Replacement

Text:

This is an informational post, rather than a question, as I could not find any info on this topic when I was doing the repair, but I have figured out the issue.

'''Symptoms:''' After a screen replacement, or any other repair that requires dissembling the phone, the phone will not power on. Additionally, if the phone is plugged into a charger, the battery will show it is charging, but give a battery temperature warning.

'''Cause:''' This is due to trying to turn the phone on while the phone is still disassembled. When the phone is disassembled, the battery temperature sensor is not connected; therefore, not allowing the phone to read the temperature of the battery, and preventing the phone from booting.

'''Solution:''' To fix the issue, attach the QI (wireless) charger to the phone. Near the top of the QI charger is the contacts for the battery temperature sensor. Once this is connected, the phone should boot.
