Thanks for your great question! Your research is correct—we don’t have any specific guidelines surrounding “one-step” video guides in lieu of a photo/text manual. We tend to monitor video guides on more of a case-by-case basis. As @nick mentioned, if the videos are blatantly self-promotional, that violates our [https://www.ifixit.com/Info/Spam_Policy#Section_How_to_avoid_being_flagged_as_a_spammer|Community Guidelines] and will be pulled down. However, we’re more than happy to have high-quality video tutorials for repairs that don’t have a traditional photo/text guide written. And, since iFixit is a wiki, users can always supplement their own text and photos to existing video guides.
