I might be able to help in a couple ways:

# I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering,  have worked on cars and electronics almost my whole life. I was a field support engineer for an oil & gas company for four years diagnosing issues and doing field repairs of electronic equipment.
# I lived in Venezuela for two years, and my Spanish is pretty good for a Gringo.
