iPhone 7 Plus screen assembly is missing a brightness sensor

I have recently noticed that the iPhone 7 Plus Screen - White / Fix Kit that I have purchased from IFIXIT (Order #AU-20042) is physically missing a brightness sensor (that is usually used to adjust the screen brightness based on the ambient light conditions).
Is it normal practice for IFIXIT or did I get a front panel assembly that should not have passed quality control?
