Noovacus,  I am not sure about the operating budget for ifixit, but it could get expensive to get any great smartphone for every teardown. Are you willing to lend out your smartphone so the ifixit team can take some decent images for the guide:-) Otherwise I would suggest to follow the steps on the image in case of

1. Dust in the space between Front glass and Lens

2. Front glass is broken or scratched

3. Deco-ring is broken or scratched
