I need recommendations for a new Android phone :(

My LG G4 died on 8/28/17 to the component separation flaw the Revision 1 phones are prone to. Thankfully I recovered my data (this is how I did it) and anything I abandoned on the phone without an attempt being made is replaceable or I can copy it from my computer. I pretty much abandoned the music and downloads to focus my energy on recovering the messages, contacts and pictures/video.

Now that I've essentially given up any chance in !&&* of LG fixing my phone (unless I get lucky) so I need to start looking for a new phone. The big issue is reliability - I don't want another phone with LG G4 like reliability where the phone dies because of crappy manufacturing. Is there any good Android phones I should consider? I'm done with LG, so don't bother if you are going to suggest an LG phone.

Oneplus 5 hands down. Best specs I've seen (same level as Galaxy note/S8, and all other flagships) and just look at the repairability score.

I looked at the Moto G5 Plus and that phone just looks bad in terms of being able to open it. You have to take the display off of the phone to access the board, which makes doing what I did with the LG more troublesome.

I run phones to the ground, but if something like this happens again then I want an easily accessed board so I can open the phone and heat it up for data recovery.

@nick the most reliable phones are going to be flagships, and none of them have a removable back. Maybe if you want an older phone get a Nexus 6. Mine has lasted for 2 years with no problems except for a slightly worn charge port and cosmetic wear. Motorola does make good stuff.

Personally if I had the money I'd get the OnePlus 5.

I'd say get a Moto Z series phone. I'm a huge fan of the entire modular accessory thing, not the best when it comes to repairability, but certainly interesting. AAAAND it does not look like the iPhone 7 *cough* OP5 *cough*
