Why does the search engine in Answers miss some results?

Right now, the 50th No-Answers page has this problem on it:

Cracked 1st gen iPhone screens

If I go back to the first link and enter "iphone" into the search box, it only pulls up 11 results (for No Answers) -- and that second link is not one of them!

If I had to guess, I'd say that the search box doesn't include device name matches in the results -- all of those 11 results seem to have "iPhone" as a tag, and/or the word iPhone in the question.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I'm having problems with the search function too.

Dunno if I should make a new question for this, but I created a new tool -- "Rosin Flux" -- and I can't seem to find any way to search for and find that page with the search engine.

Yeah, something is screwy with the searching... "Rosin Flux" should definitely be a hit.

Thanks for the great problem description.

This is now fixed on our development servers and will be pushed live to ifixit.com later tonight or tomorrow.

great, let me know when I should test it.

(I know I should have split this up, sorry!) The search for "Rosin Flux" works great, but entering "iPhone" into the search box inside "No Answers" only picks up 9 hits, which is very very low.

I think you're right about not using the device name in the search. I will look into this.
