How about a configurable sort order?

Looking at the sorting of Questions, it looks like some of the "sections" have a predefined sort order:

Active sorts by order of last modification

Most Helpful sorts by score

Unresolved sorts by ... actually, I have no idea

No Answers sorts by score and then last modification

It would be nice for this to be more flexible -- e.g. it would be nice to see all No Answer questions sorted by creation date, or sorted (but not filtered) by device type, and to be able to flip the sort order.

I agree, finding old answers is really becoming difficult. I give up more often than not.

+ agree - also under "Moderator Votes: pending votes" there's a "closed question" waiting for several votes that can't be made 'cuz it's closed.

Options

"Configurable" is a broad term. We can add more sorting/filtering options but need specifics on what would be helpful.

Currently sounds like you want:

  • Sort Ascending/Descending toggle
  • Sort by Creation Date
  • Sort by Device Name

Are there other filters/sorts that would help?

Those sound like the only ones that come to mind, though it would be nice to find out how the different sections are currently sorted.
