Let's make a small wager on when Mayer reaches 500K - WINNER!

Mark this date on your calendar folks...@mayer has made it to 500K!! Amazing feat sir, so many people have benefitted from your constant support and help. As for the WINNER of my amazing contest, that still has no prize swag :-( , @theimedic fooled everyone and, quite literally, picked the date out of a hat...or maybe it was written on those coins he wears everyday ;>). You two make quite the pair and will go down in history together.

We should start placing our bets on what day exactly @mayer will hit the 500K milestone!!

I'll start first...I estimate, after much mathematical calculations, that Mayer will reach 500K on Nov 1, 2017

Winner gets bragging rights for a day :>).

  2. Other than normal voting habits, you can't influence the outcome
    1. Doesn't matter, no one will check anyways
    2. Then again, I will watch you all like hawks :>) (except OT, whom I trust unconditionally)

Ahh...crap I'm busy...more interested in the freezing machine....I miss you @refectio answer me dang text message!! I guess I'm guessing for the 4th?? Just got off the phone with Uncle @mayer that's what he said I should do. Also ifixit is going to give him a corvette?? And I disagree with him. It should have the ifixit logo on the hood. Also I feel like I deserve an original ifixit t shirt and a pro tech tool roll. I won't ever use it. I just want it. To look at. I miss all you guys!! Hopefully the madness dies down over here. Crap..I forgot to update that...

@refectio Since you posted this discussion I've stopped answearing question and concentrated myself on calculating the odds on you being right on this one.

According to my calculations, position of theSun , consulting with the priests from my neighborhood, asking my wife's advice, reading in coffee you will be a few days wrong.

My bet is 16 Nov 17

It's getting close enough to start thinking about the prize for the winner. Any suggestions? @jayeff is in the lead with @pcheese running second as of the end of this day. jayeff just nosed out George .

The problem with trying to figure a date is the fact that iFixit has never fixed the scoring system. Yes, after you max out at 200 points a day, they show you get credit over that for accepted answers. Sounds good right? @evan @kyle The problem is that they take them back the next day. This is a problem the answer providers have been asking for eight years for them to fix. For instance @oldturkey03 shows that he got five answers accepted after reaching 200, but today he maxed out after 104 points. I got one accepted answer over the 200 but maxed at 170. So Yes they give it to you one day and take it back the next.
