Why does rep go down when I vote down?
Why does my rep go down when I vote something down? I don’t Understand why I should lose rep when I vote down.
Is this a worthwhile discussion?

Hi @paperboypaddy,
We subtract a small amount of rep for downvotes to ensure users are downvoting judiciously. Per our Help article (https://www.ifixit.com/Help/Reputation#S...)
Voting down posts is a very useful way to provide constructive criticism to others, but abusing the power can hurt the site.
