In this guide, step 5 shows an iFixit battery, (why would an iFixit battery already be in the device?)
and then on step 9 an apple battery is shown. whats going on here?
We're always looking to improve the guides, so sometimes we add updates with photos shot years apart. That step you linked was updated after the guide had already been around a while, because a number of repair shops told us they liked to rubberband the display to a box or can of soda to hold it steady. We thought that was a neat idea, so we dug up our iPhone 6 and shot some new photos. But yeah, by then it had a new battery in it. ;)

Maybe one pic is when they tore it apart and then reassemble it with a iFixit battery?
