Offensive : causing someone to feel resentful, upset, or annoyed.
Which of the above are you feeling in regards to the "answer" in question and to what degree?
You may be being a bit oversensitive.
He/she (guy? we don't know that) has only ever answered on ifixit the once and to me it seems more of a personal experience comment than anything else.
At worst the "answer" is not repair related and warrants being deleted by the usual community moderation method, not that the user should be 'banned for a while'.
