Functional difference between all the "gtool" items

I'm looking into getting one as my laptop corner is bad enough that it now cuts me, and bends the LCD slightly. I see multiple G-tools ranging from expensive to something I can afford.

Is there any real functional difference between the different models?

https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/gTool... - not sure which one of these

https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/Gtool... - apparently the apprentice kit, just redirects back to the first link here.

these have major price differences, and I'm not sure what the difference between each is.

if this belongs on the ifixit site, apologies, I thought it would belong here more.

thanks!

These are for reshaping iPhone/iPad corners, not MacBooks. Don't waste your money on these, IMHO, they aren't worth it, even for iPhones/iPads. Just get a small file kit and smooth out the corner.

Full disclosure, I own a gTool myself and rarely use it.

Not my Mac this time, it's a Lenovo 13ikb. But probably same point. Why those things so expensive anyway?

In an ocean of cheaply manufactured tools, gTools are precision, high quality tools.

My view on tools, as long as they do the job you want them to do, worth the money. somewhat.

For something like your Lenovo you're better off using a ball-pein hammer, a flat surface to reform the chassis and a cloth to protect the surface from scratching.

It isn't as pretty but it will work to fix most dents.

Looks are not a problem for me, its the functional side, my laptop has other dings and dents, but the reason this one is an issue is that it cuts me/bends the corner of the LCD, preventing proper function of the LCD.

although I do not have a ball hammer. I sure a hammer would work just fine, right?

You need that kind of hammer because a large hammer will probably not end up fitting. They're not that expensive so I'd go that route.
