Don't seem to be able to mark the question as solved.

On a few occasions I’ve hit questions which the OP solved his own problem but fails to mark it as solved.

How can I mark it as solved? Can we add in the moderation menu an option?

As an example: Can I swap a dual graphics logic board with integrated graphics board

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@danj I do not think we need any extra buttons on the menu for the few times that this happens. Most OP’s do not update their questions but post it as an answer or a comment at best. WE then convert those to updates. Instead of doing so we should accept it as an answer.

To add to OTs comment I'd like to clarify our conceptual model: A 'SOLVED' question is a question with an accepted answer. You can accept an answer to mark a problem as solved.

@evan - The issue is not the 'Answer' its when the OP resolved their issue them selves. The OP has the ability to mark their Q as resolved. So the Question is the Answer if that makes more sense.

Mod's can't select the Question as answered which is the issue.

OT fiddled with the update which is not always possible.

by

@danj not fiddled but moderated! Anytime it is posted as an update will it be possible to do that. I do not see the necessity to add anything to the menu for things that happen to you a handful of times in a year.....
