That’s 210 degrees Fahrenheit… I want to make the argument that this laptop would burn your skin if it was resting on your lap. But, Apple refers to them as “portables” and suggests that they not be rested on your lap. https://www.engadget.com/2006/05/19/warn...

I put my A1297 17" Peryn on my laptop. That wasn't comfortable for hours on end but it also wasn't hot enough to induce a 2nd degree burn.

Things have certainly changed.

My biggest concern is that thermal runaway can occur if a Li-ion battery reaches temperatures between 140-350 degrees Fahrenheit.

I suspect there will be a lot of motherboard CPU and VRM failures as well as bulging/exploding batteries.

I’m thinking these systems logic boards will warp and or delaminate from the constant high heat!

Short lifespan, Apple may find them selves in another legal mess.

It's not a matter of if @danj - it's a matter of when.
