Hi Andrew! We try to target the guides that will help the most users and be the most cost effective, so we often start with batteries. Some day we’ll have a full set of guides for every device, but that’s a big undertaking! For now you can check out similar device’s display assembly guides and follow those as a guideline, or you can look to for other enterprising fixers for help! And remember, iFixit is a collaborative repair manual, so we’d be happy to see your guide for the procedure!

iFixit may sell the screens, but it does not mean a guide will come out for replacing the screen. Also, I highly advise against trying to take apart these delicate machines as the chance of breaking something while trying to replace a part is very very high. That in part is probably the reason why there is no guide, yet.

Aaron,

I completely agree with you and the iFixit scale of 2 for repairability. That being said, humans are humans and the displays are not nearly as robust/strong as previous MBP screens. They are substantially thinner and are prone to breaking if not treated with care. The cost for the replacement display ( even if ordered from China ) and the amount of time to replace is not a customer friendly conversation to say the least. I have had 3 customers bring me their MBP 2016 13inch with broken displays just in the last month alone and can see this potential repair occurring more. Speaking of tools - What kit do you recommend for the VERY small screws internally that connect the display brace assembly? These iPhonesque screws are Pentalobe P2? screws and other screws are very small T4/T3/T2 screws?

Note: do not place screws on service mat if you have a cold or allergies as a sneeze or cough can be devastating as the small screws go flying !
