Needed fixes! Lost drag paste & loose your answer if you jump page

We lost the drag copy & paste and if you by mistakenly jump to another page your answer you where working on is lost!

Both of these actions were working a year ago. It would be nice to get them back!

Before I could take a text entry from a Note were I have canned answer elements and could select the text and drag copy over to the Answer or Comment field. Can’t do that any more.

Before I could copy a YouTube vid title and paste it down with the vid URL, I copy and paste the URL and then add in the title element selecting it and then do a copy paste action. But! the text won’t paste!! I have to paste it into a text editor and then recopy it to then paste it. As an example: Genius bar quotes local teen for repair. :(

It would also be nice to fix, when you paste a title for a URL and its bold the ‘‘‘ quotes show up unless you mark the text as not bold.

Then if I try to open a second URL but my finger slips so instead of opening a second window the URL opens but before it has even loaded I hit the back button I can’t recover where I was as its GONE! So now I need to re-enter it a second time. I didn’t have this problem in the past.

Extra CR’s appear to be creeping in so the paragraph spacing can be quite large. I’ve been scrubbing then out in questions and answers. This does not happen here for some reason.

Within comments on an iPad I can’t bold text as the ‘‘‘Bold’’’ marks won’t work. Can we get the new editor added to the comment field?

The second killer on the iPhone or iPad is the lack fo the field grow corner. Can we get that added? Or at least get what we have here the box grows as you type and stays at the text fields size so if you go back in to edit you don’t get the keyhole to then try to navigate to the section you need fix.

Could you expand a bit more on what you mean by both of these? These changes are a side effect of our new WYSIWYG editor, so we'll need to reimplement those features.

I agree, in the last couple of weeks I have been unable to copy from another source and paste as an answer, but sometimes it works. I have not discovered the distinction between what will and won't move.

To add one of my observations.

In the past I recall that you could commence an answer then select the "device" link associated with the question to copy a URL or screenshot an image etc, and go back and paste it in the answer, which has not yet been submitted. Now when you do this the answer content has been erased.

At the moment I'm overcoming this by having 2 forum windows open and copying from one to the other.

It would be incredibly helpful if reloading the webpage or going to a different webpage wouldn’t make you loose your progress.
