iRobot keeps deleting posted answers

whenever I try to post an answer to this question:

https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/5343...

iRobot deletes my answer immediately. at first I thought it was because I added a link to their support site, but it kept deleting even after I removed it. Why is it doing this?

here’s the original answer I was trying to post:

While they don’t have an online shop, you can order parts by calling them. from their website:

Do you require a replacement part for your machine?

Allow one of our Coffee Specialists to assist you through your Spare Part selection by calling the Nespresso Assistance on 800-562-1465 for Original and on 877-964-6299 for Vertuo. Call is free of charge and 24/7.

I am guessing - just a newbie here myself - but it may be that the Nespresso site text you are posting along with its link (“Allow one of our Coffee Specialists,” etc.) is what is grabbing iRobot’s attention. So when it scans your post, it “reasons” (using its algorithms) that most of the text reads like an advertisement . . . i.e. like spam. My reasoning here is based on having read iFixit’s spam policy at https://www.ifixit.com/Info/Spam_Policy

So, maybe you could try including the link, but excluding all promotional site text from Nespresso, and fleshing out your post by explaining exactly where on the page to look for the link to getting parts? If you write everything except the link in your own words the overall result may carry less of that “spam” flavor that is possibly triggering iRobot. Might be worth a try?

Specific things that will make iRobot mad at you include having a phone number in the answer, repeating phone numbers and specific terms, just read your answer over and you may realize it looks a bit spammy. iRobot has you in its targets currently, if it removes something, don’t try to repost it as if you do it too many times you’ll be put on its blacklist and not allowed to post anything.

also, good job Ian! I’ve been keeping an eye on you as I do with all new highly active users. Your doing great, welcome to iFixit!

The way you put it makes it look like spam & commercial content. Rephrase it so that it doesn’t make you look like a customer support agent from Nespresso and might go thru.

We set limits on new posters so URL’s are not allowed until you’ve earned some street credit. I reopened your answer for you.
