Anyone else unhappy with ifixit kit?

I recently bought the pro 64 bit kit and quite frankly im really disappointed with it. Ifixit always presents itself as top tier.. while im happy with the way the kit is presented, everything nicely placed in the box, the overall looks of the kit etc i am very disappointed with the screwdriver itself. The blue rotator at the top has already degraded, and i’ve only used it once, to screw in a radiator and 4 fans into my pc case. It was dead silent when i unboxed it, and after i used it started giving off a grindy noise.

The magnetic end of the screwdriver is also very, very weak. weakest ive ever used as a matter of fact. whenever i put a screw on the end bit of the screwdriver it always falls off. It literally never holds the screw, even when i unscrew it off something.

and speaking of magnets, the magnetic mat that came with it (project mat) also barely holds anything. if the mat gets slightly bumped all screws move around the mat

are all the products like this?

I have that exact kit as well as the Essential Electronics Toolkit and I have never expreienced any issues like the ones you have described. I can’t say for sure about the magnetically of the Magnetic Project Mat but I’ve heard rave reviews about it that don’t mention that issue either. Anyways, if you would like to return your products head over to help dot iFixit dot com and either call or email support requesting a return.
