Does ifixit.com sell replacement magnets for its repair screwdriver?

I know this seems insignificant, but I’ve lost the magnet that holds the bits in place in my ifixit.com screwdriver from one of their kits. (Actually, I saw this problem coming, and tried to exercise caution, but must have let my guard down. Took the kit out to use it, and the magnet is in a Black Hole, somewhere.)

So, now, I run the risk of losing the bits every few minutes, because there’s no magnet to hold them in the screwdriver handle.

I would happily pay for a half dozen or a dozen…

Should I have directed this question somewhere other than these forums?

We don’t sell replacement magnets, but we do cover all of our tools with a lifetime warranty. You can get in touch with our customer service team and they’ll get you set up with a replacement!

I love the way you guys and gals stand behind your products but isn't a bit ironic that iFixit doesn't offer the ability to repair one of it's own products and that the user will end up having to chuck an otherwise good tool in the trash ?!?

@refectio wait a minute... You got a point there...

We do also have extra magnets! @ronherrmann we do not sell them, but if you'd prefer we send out a replacement magnet instead of a driver just let me know.

I believe that it says "Know thyself" somewhere in the Bible. This is why I'd prefer to buy a half dozen or a dozen magnets. But, if that's now possible, please send me a single replacement magnet. I guess I'll just have to be more careful, or use some sort of cement/glue to keep the magnet in the driver handle. How do I follow up with you? (Can you simply get my contact info from your records?)

@ronherrmann Not exactly a Biblical quote. Pythagoras said, “Man, know thyself; then thou shalt know the universe and God.”
