Anyone else found Ifixit item 309105-1 NOT fit the Turbo 2 XT1585?

A while back (Sept 2018) I decided I needed to finally replace my battery in my Motorola Droid Turbo 2 phone model XT1585. When I visited Ifixit.com I saw they had a pre made die-cut adhesive for the back panel and I thought, “Oh cool that will make a nicer repair!” And, it was reasonably priced. I even bought a spare in case I screwed it up or my GF wanted me to replace her XT1585’s battery in the future.

The iFixit part number is 309015-1.

BUT, a couple of months later when I took the adhesives out and sat down to fix the phone I found that the adhesive sheets, though they had the right part label on the bags, are in fact the wrong adhesives and look to be for a different phone. I have emailed and called for customer support but have not heard back yet, perhaps because it has been beyond the 30 days sited in iFixit’s policies.

Has anyone else bought this part and had it fit? Did they fix this issue or if I reorder will I get the same wrong parts?
