Where should I place this guide?

*This guide is currently private as it’s a work in progress, so many cannot view it. If I need to add viewing permissions, let me know.*

The guide can be found here: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/How+to+buil...

While I have cautioned readers to not do this if they can buy one prebuilt (and have provided tips to get it right), I personally do it more then others because I often deal in bulk and most of these batteries are dead. For me, it’s cheaper to build them by reusing the old lead and attaching a new cell. I can get a 5-10 pack and cover multiple notebooks or have cells on reserve. This is why I do it, but caution others against it unless they deal with bunk CMOS replacements.

I have built a battery for photos, so that part is finished. Since I have laid out the groundwork, it’s just a matter of cleanup. As it stands, this is Revision 0 so it’s going to be refined a lot more later. Please disregard the roughness of the current version.

Where should I place this? I put it under PC laptop as a universal guide in the meantime, but this may not be the best location. If anyone has a better location I can use, feel free to let me know.

The last step that prevented it from going public is done - what the cell should look like with the liquid tape applied when it's dry. I'm not too bothered by incomplete coverage as long the cell is covered because many of the OEM wraps don't cover the cell 100% anyway (or fail if the cell is removed). The laptop I pulled that one from was no exception.

Yeah there's a chance someone else's application isn't going to be as good, but the cell won't be seen and as long as it fits and it's protecting it, it should be fine. That said, I've seen it where the spot weld CR cell is thinner so that may be something to watch for.
