New iFixit battery not charging

New iFixit battery is not charging in MBP mid-2012. I reinstalled original Apple battery and it does charge.

i have removed and reinstalled the iFixit battery 2 times, tried 2 different MagSafe modules, reset SMC, shutdown, restart and sleep with same results: battery is not charging.

i kept MagSafe attached for 1 hr but the light never turned amber, only green and battery indicator says not charging,

i ran the MBP for 15 minutes in the new battery to discharge (52% down to 48%) and then connected the MagSafe but will not charge.

lastly I reinstalled the original batttery and it does charge.

I believe I have a bad battery. Other thoughts?

You proved your issue is a bad battery when you tried your original and was able to get it to work.
