Being able to edit comments would be a nice touch. Just now if you make an error typing a comment you have to delete it and start over to correct it. It would be so nice to be able to edit it like the answers. Ralph
Honestly it's always bugged me too... The real reason is that "questions" and "comments" are actually very different code. Questions have revision history but comments do not.
It seems like the poster should be able to edit their own comments. It's technically a little challenging & you wouldn't get revision history on the edits. Editing other people's comments w/ revision history is very difficult, we will probably never allow that.
No promises but I'll look into it.
I've thought of that, and for a while I wanted that feature, but comments are generally shorter and less-important so I've begun to just delete comments and re-paste in the previous comment, then just do the fix.
Interesting idea, it should definitely see discussion and be debated.
