Purchased new battery. MBP 17” unit not powering up? Help!

Hi fixit, A coupled of days ago I installed the new battery I got from ifixit into my MacBook Pro 17” unibody. I charged it 24hours. I pushed on the power button and it did not power on? What is the return policy on batteries?

If a fully-functional item is returned, it is subject to a restocking fee of 15% or $5, whichever is greater. iFixit will replace any defective or malfunctioning part at no charge; if the part is no longer available, we will provide a return label to send back the defective part for a full refund.
