Washington State Sales Tax (?)

I am ordering three parts for a repair with my business who’s subtotal is $22.51. The “Tax” says $2.20, but when I do my calculations (at 8.6% sales tax), it comes out at about $1.95. For what region does it calculate tax?

Hi, Ian. Our sales tax calculator is driven off your zip code. Occasionally, zip codes will span more than one tax district and result in a slightly different tax rate. I don’t know if that is the specific case for you.

If you want to calculate your exact tax rate you can input your address into the calculator at the link below. And if it is different than what our shopping cart calculates it is because your zip code is being pulled into a different district.

I hope this helps you.

Cheers!
