Which revision of the 2012 13" hard drive do you sell?

When I bought my 2011 MacBook Pro, I knew in advance I’d probably need to replace the 2011 hard drive cable since most outside of experienced owners do not address this. My machine came with the 2011 cable (820-1226-A) so I have one of the older SATA II cables, so my theory was confirmed it needs to be addressed.

I am looking online and most of the ones I’ve found on eBay and Amazon are $10 (w/o IR sensor or LED) (~$18+ with). Since I have a working IR sensor as far as I know (but no way to test) I’m looking at replacing all of it so I know that it will work. That said, I’m not opposed to transferring the unknown parts over from my 2011 cable. However, my concern is I’ll get one that uses an old APN no matter where I buy it, so I’m trying to find someone who sells the latest revision of this part (or the second newest, if the newest revision isn’t available). I don’t need the bracket as I can transfer it, but if I can get one with it for a similar price, that will probably be the way to handle it. I cannot tell which one is the newest and who has it from other sites either, since it’s not always known which one you get. I am presuming the most current revision available is the 923-0741 cable.

Which revision does iFixit sell or is it vary based on what is available at the time? I’m getting the beachball when I use my 2011 from time to time, but I also plan on installing an SSD or WD Black in the notebook later - both of which will require I address the SATA II cable before installation. I’m thinking about addressing the cable before the drive so much like the charger situation I ran into, I can get the upgrade done knowing it’s been done and the issue is resolved.

The numbers 821-1480-A & 821-2049-A are the manufactures P/N’s not Apples P/N’s!

Here’s all of the versions of 2012 HD cable & bracket - 923-00975, 604-07597, 821-00698, 923-0741, 821-2049, 923-0104, 821-1480-A

I have the 821-1226-A cable, which is why it needs to get done :(. I knew it was probably going to happen but was hoping for the best. Glad to know the multiple APN numbers do not matter. What I've noticed with eBay and Amazon is it's somewhat of a crapshoot if you get the right cable.

The 2011 cable is due to be replaced when the warranty/return period expires, so it's getting done when that day comes. I've noticed the Amazon cables are all over in terms of quality and correctness (Some of them are the 1480-A cable). I don't expect eBay to be much better.
