Opening a small electronic repair shop, looking for advice please!

Hi everyone, Im seeking advice on opening my own electronic repair shop. I live in a smaller community this service is not currently offered. I’m looking more towards replacement parts for computers, phones and tablets, to sell these parts and do the replacement as well. I’m wondering if there is any requirements in terms of schooling or course I would need to replace parts and sell these items. I am currently taking an online course "Electronics Technician”, and I have a good knowledge on all types of electronics, but i would like to be properly certified or know what type of certificates i would need, can anyone help me with advice on this please?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi there @thomas28

We’re excited that you’re looking to open your own electronic repair shop! The world needs more people like you, and we’re happy that you’re making such a huge impact on the repair community. To get you started, we recommend you to look into the certifications on the IT Certifications page. None of these are necessary or required, but they may help point you in the right direction. If you’re interested in the iFixit MasterTech Certification or if you have any questions about the certification process, feel free to email us at exams@ifixit.com. Thanks for making the world a better place!

Happy fixing.
