Repairability Rating of HP Folio, Dragonfly etc

Dear iFixit,

I love your website, mission and repairability analysis. The high scores for HP pc’s is the reason I chose to work at HP when I came out of school three years ago. In recent years HP has released visually attractive premium laptops like the folio, Dragonfly and more. They're thinner, lighter and sexier. My fear is that we’ve sacrificed sustainability for customer convenience even though sustainability is at the heart of HP (at least we say it is). I hope you can do a repairability analysis of these products so I can try and hold my leadership accountable if the scores are low.

Hi there Timothy.

Thanks for posting on this forum and your continued support for our repairability assessments. Our technical writers work hard to create these awesome teardowns, but there are some limitations to the devices that are taken apart. Due to the number of devices that are released every year, our technical writers aren’t able to create a repairability assessment for every single device. However, you’re more than welcome to create one yourself if you’re up to the challenge.

We hope that your passion for repair and sustainability will inspire others to do the same. Keep on making the world a better place!

Happy fixing.
