It took Apple 5 months for them to catch up!

Here’s a fun one! We had a string of posts of the newer 2 port 2019 MacBook Pro having issues with premature shutdowns: New MacBook Pro shuts down at 25% battery

Today Apple released a tech note acknowledging the issue and our fix! If your MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) keeps shutting down

It was our collective efforts from around the world that identified the issue and the needed correction within iFixit Answers! We even notified Apple alerting them to the issue as soon as it became clear what the solution was.

Dan,

It’s such a bummer that so many people are experiencing this issue, but I’m glad Apple is acknowledging it. It’s cool to see a change being enacted as a result of an Answers thread—and we definitely couldn’t have done it without help from our awesome mods!
