@kristen OP is likely talking about tuning it based on the words used.
Unless it's a rebadged Holden like the SS (ECU is practically made for it since the SS is a VF Commodore from Australia with different badging) it won't be easy - GM encrypts their USDM designated models in a way it's not happening anytime soon.
The SS is easy and desired for tuning (especially 6MT models) because they're easy. No need to put a Haltech ECU in them unless you don't want to trip the tuning flags - backup the factory tune and flash. USDM models are less desirable fpr out of the box tuning since it's much more difficult.
The C8 is likely a Holden consultation model, which may mean the ECU is opened up - hopefully they got that one past the US branch of GM since Corvette is more American.
