Problems with Meta's reputation system?

Meta uses a relatively light weight version of the reputation system that is used on iFixit.

A little while back, we set the starting reputation to 100, and soon we plan on removing the ability to gain reputation from a discussion post, are there things that you feel like you need to do in Meta, but your reputation is to low to do? (becuase reputation is much slower moving on meta, etc)

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I would like to be able to edit or delete MY postings. Other than that I don't need points at all. Ralph

You should be able to edit and delete posts that are your own...

Why employ another reputation system in the first place?

Makes sense to me.

Yea - I've put a fair amount of time into answers, now I'm back at zero? Is this a beta test of a new GUI - or an entirely new board? for example I see Tags but no way to add them. What's up with that?

It makes sense, Meta and Answers are completely different things, Answers measures your rep for helping people, Meta measures your rep for helping iFixit.

Well, the secret is, meta is actually just Answers again, with a few tweaks.

Pretty much just the usual mod privileges, but at first it was annoying to be unable to make comments, and to edit your own answers. I guess editing other's answers isn't that important.

You editing of others questions and what specific machines they have has been of great detriment.

Actually not, Kyle actually sent me an email earlier thanking me for editing devices to improve categorization. And still, that's no reason for a downvote.

And I also never mention editing questions, I specifically say it's only important for me to be able to edit my OWN answers, so please STOP trolling me! It is REALLY ANNOYING right now, so please get off my answers. Do I do this to yours?
