Camera lens does not fit inside camera bezel.

My friend gave me his Pixel 3 for free and the only thing I had to fix was the busted lens cover. I ordered just the lens cover from here. I pulled out the new lens and went to push into the bezel and the lens broke immediately. I realized that the lens was a hair to large for the bezel so from applying slight pressure it snapped the lens.

I just ordered the bezel/lens replacement for the phone instead to see if this solves my problem. I think Ifixit may need to look into this issue.
