Does ifixit battery for Oneplus 7T use original battery controller?

Hi, I have bought batteries before from other brands and I was wondering whether the ifixit ones have the original chip for the battery that displays battery percentage correctly and battery temperature. Like for example so it doesn't turn off at 50% or stay at supposedly 25°C all the time.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

We’ve got a reply! Looks like we caught them before the left for their holiday break.

In the replacements we carry, they have two different types of ICs: Original IC and aftermarket IC. Both of the IC’s have the sensor to display battery capacity, temperature, and battery state as this model was not encrypted. Usually the data for these new batteries will not start to show until after the first 15 full cycles (typically 2 weeks post-installation.)

Let me know if you have any more questions about this!
