FYI: Some Macs are getting fewer updates than they used to!

Arstechnica just released a useful article Some Macs are getting fewer updates than they used to. Here’s why it’s a problem and even a spreadsheet that lists out the Mac systems and the OS supported window for most of the Mac systems based on the years the system was supported Spreadsheet

As you can see the 2016 systems window is less than previous years!

Very informative! Sadly, most of my systems are now outside of the supported window.

I’m a bit confused at why they are doing this

It’s not like the intel macs are bad it’s just that apple has made progress in how they perform

When I saw the MacOS Ventura support list I thought it may have prioritised T2 macs as they are more similar to the full apple silicon ones but this is just a thought of mine and not accurate information

It’s just so sad that these intel macs that we all know and love are be phased out faster that we thought;(

The point is Apple is shortening the lifespan of their supported OS's per the different series. Its only the 2016 systems have been shortened so far.
