How do I use another guide as a base?

Hi meta!

I am going to write a guide on how to replace the usb ports on a 2018/2019 13inch MacBook Pro and I want to use the logicboard guide as a base to save me from re writing everything again

By any chance is this possible?

and help is greatly appreciated

Hi @hellomacos , thanks for waiting. Been a little busy on this end. I'm assuming when you say "base" you mean "prerequisite"?

Using prerequisites allows you to reuse all of the steps from one or more guides as the initial steps to your new guide so that you aren't wasting time writing it all from the very beginning.

Our wiki on prerequisites will explain it better.

I have read through it and I can’t yet figure out how to add it in to the guide that I want to to make

@hellomacos In the "Details" section of the guide editor window, after Difficulty, there is a section named Prerequisite Guides. You can search for the guide you would like to add there.
