What are the requirements of working at ifixit?

Thanks for reaching out! @sedorr is right about our job listings, check back over there from time to time. While many of the jobs we post are for the San Luis Obispo office, we do sometimes post remote positions so keep an eye out! (Unless you're planning a move to California. =])

@hellomacos @beanman56 I bet there is more to it than being a great tech. Education would be my first guess. A really solid background in engineering, manufacturing and design would be my first choice. Since the focus of iFixit is not the repair, but to empower others to perform their own repairs, it would be essential to know about circular economy, sustainability and environmental impact. My suggestion to you all, would be to obtain a diverse education and experiences. After that consider working with iFixit instead of for iFixit. Just the 2 cents from an old guy whos next (and last) job will be a Door Greeter at a supermarket :-) I am convinced that both of you, will be successful in whatever career you are deciding on. Best of luck to both of you.
