Am I supposed to be able to edit someone else's guide?

I clicked on someone else's guide today, and it let me edit their guide. Is this intended behaviour, or a bug?

I chose the Nexus 6P as a device, but this doesn't apply to that device. I thought it better to keep this to myself and possibly communicate privately with someone at ifixit.

Hey there David,

iFixit is a community-driven website, which means that contributions are made in collaboration with the whole community. So if you have enough reputation, then you can contribute to someone else’s guide. The way the site works is actually the same way that Wikipedia operates where edits are coollaborative, and guides and wikis are community driven.
