Will iFixit provide a place to find diverse parts

I haven't been on this week end because I was installing a new heater element in my clothes dryer and tearing down my oven to remove the failed oven burner element. I had the confidence to do this because of my experiences on iFixit. I know I can fix Macs but other things I have called the pros on. Due to iFixit I found a place called www.repairclinic.com that had both the parts I need. I already have the dryer element and my oven element is on the way. The repairs will cost me under $40.00 each. Finding parts has always been a major problem and still is. Will iFixit provide sources and web space to give ratings for those diverse sources on price, reliability, speed, and shipping costs.

By the way. My sincere congratulations to all of the iFixit people and especially Kyle Wiens for having the vision and implementing one of the finest ideas I have encountered during my lifetime. There truly are giants in this land of America.

Congrats on your projects. I am in the process of building up my nerve to do major repairs to the electric windows in my truck.

I too look forward to having more sources for repair parts-- in this economy I look for do-it-yourself to make a huge comeback. Ralph +

Update - I got the oven part in from a appliance repair and parts place in 4 days. www.repairclinic.com

Under $40 with shipping for a new oven element. Installation took 20 minutes. With knowing how to fix it - I didn't, had to figure it out with a voltmeter, now a place to buy parts and a place to brag about it, that oven should last me the rest of my life. Thanks to the confidence iFixit gave me. Way to go boys!
