What are the Teams for?

Hello there, I've noticed the different teams, and except the iFixit one for the staff, I don't clearly understand what is the point of it ?

Who joins ? And what for ?

Thanks

hi ben,

maybe you missed the question mark on the right side of the teams page ;-)

http://www.ifixit.com/Help/Teams

---------------------

Overview

Team pages are collections of people with similar interests pooling their reputation and other contributions together. Visitors to a team's page can see information about the team, as well as the team's members. Additionally, members of a team are able to edit each other's guides without patrol. There is a plethora of uses for team pages. Many companies like to use them to work on guides together without the delay of patrolling, and so that visitors to the site can see who works for their company and how much reputation they have. Some people use them to keep track of other members that like to work on the same pages that they do. Whatever the use, anyone can start their own team to keep in touch with similarly interested fellows. To view, create, join, or edit teams, click on the Teams tab under /Contribute.
