Can we get a short cut or link to stop spammers early?

as the question says. I could send off an email but who knows which person to send it to and when it will be answered? a little link that goes to the on duty cyber patroller?

http://www.ifixit.com/User/441351/chinas... he's annoying me with his vague answers and links to his page

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I agree this far more spam than solutions. To answer Polly's question perhaps you could set a confidence level to allow deleting spam. +

I looked over all this guys answers and his attempts at spamming. He only puts in the same answer that someone else already has. He's contributed nothing but chaos and I recommend he be banned for a while for repeated spam attempts.

The best thing to do is to email us and ask us to ban the user. This user has been banned until May 11.

There's a bit of information here on how the banning system works. I'm certainly open to allowing moderators to ban users in the future if this is a recurring issue—it's just a lot of power that I'm not sure if you want to be wielding.

I got a grin out of this Kyle. All the users on the site with over 30,000 points, (that are not your employees) are old enough to be your parents. The community has already given their vote of judgement for these individuals. These are very giving people or they wouldn't be putting in the hours every day to keep the answers section running and helping others. They can all be trusted to use good judgement.

and the "contact us" button would be so clear? I've just had a little browse to find it and you know what? you could really do with a "contact us" area with easy links to your emails/ aftersales service/ enquiries etc. I could then send you an email about http://www.ifixit.com/User/453319/caroli..., and all those people with shopping orders on the repair site could ask about them far more easily. BTW your email isn't on your profile either...
