New feature - add devices to your profile?

I was wondering if IFixIt has or will considered allowing users to add each device they own to their profile? This would allow customized guides, suggested tools and parts and directly relate to the customers profile and existing devices.

So I could add my iPhone 4s and MacBook Air to my devices, allowing IFixIt to "tailor" my results to my devices.

Anyone else agree or have comments on this idea?

This is a great idea! It's definitely something we've considered before and we've talked a few times about building it, we just haven't built it yet. We don't have an exact time frame, but it's on our roadmap for the future. Thanks for sharing!

I love this idea. You could have two categories—devices you own, and devices you'd like to watch, like a set of device bookmarks.

Displaying devices you own on your public profile would lend credibility to authors as well as giving us some more data on the community and what sort of devices our contributors have.
