Where to store service manuals on your site

I have not found an area on your site for uploading (and downloading) service manuals. In many cases, appliance (and others) will provide a service manual that includes schematics of a device. These can be invaluable to a do it yourself repair type. Would there be a possibility to implement this sort of functionality to the site?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Service manuals are copyrighted, and we've seen time and again that companies will use the DMCA to take down sites that host copyright-infringing content that they don't like. A recent, and particularly relevant, case is Toshiba; you can find much more on the subject from that article.

The reason iFixit still exists is because none of our manuals are from the manufacturers; we and the repair community write them ourselves. And since it's such a waste duplicating work like that, everything is available under a permissive Creative Commons license so no one will ever have to do that again.

That said, if there's a PDF document that you have the right to upload, you can do so on any wiki or device page by clicking the 'upload image' button. We should rename it to make that more clear.
