August 19th, 2010 Release Notes

Hey there ladies and gentlemen,

I know it has been a while since the last release notes were posted, but in the time that has passed, iFixit has had two site updates. The first, which happened on August 3rd, was entirely a bug fix release. No significant features went out, but the site came out a little more hardened and speedy.

The second sync contained a decent amount of bug fixes too, but it also included some major UI tweaks to User Profiles and added the ability for users to join teams.

You should read the official release from Kyle, but the TL;DR is this: Depending on your reputation you should be able to now create teams and join teams.

We also gave every user with a reputation greater than 200 the ability to create their own personal wiki page. You can check out Andrew's page to see what kind of things you can do with it.

Update

We made a small change today, all users are being granted a personal wiki page. The 200 rep limit no longer applies.
