9 Guide homepage redesign is live
Hey folks,
We've been working for some time on a new, mobile-friendly /guide page. This the second most popular page on the site and the old design (which served us well for a very long time) just didn't work well on mobile devices.
We have a new section at the bottom where we'll be featuring great guides created by the community that help people learn new skills, techniques, and general purpose repairs. The more new general-purpose guides there are on the site, the more regularly we'll be able to rotate this. These featured guides are also featured in our popular iPad app.
Oh, one other thing: we've filtered out iFixit staff from the Users reputation listing. Mayer and Nick brought it up again last week and it seemed like a fair suggestion.
