Correct. You're better off putting the hybrid into your main spot and putting your current drive into the enclosure.

I'm not a fan of the Seagate hybrid drives due to how they work. The TL;DR version of it is they are useless for anything big(or anything that would fill the 8-16GB) SSD "cache" on them in short order. They do nothing to help speed up large applications, so that negates the purpose of the idea to me. I have also had mine(a 5000GB that came in my laptop) run slower then a pure SATA III hard drive.

What I would do is lose the optical drive and get a full SSD for the computer and install the hard drive type adapter that goes into your DVD drive bay.
