So how do we suggest that new moderators

DO NOT vote to CHANGE "comments" Into Questions?

Especially those who had their "question" in the comment field addressed (answered) in the next comment or so down the page, OR who's "questions" are YEARS old?

Some of these newer moderators are cleaning up comments that are a)not visible (hidden) and instead of politely directing the poster to resubmit the problem in the approved place and way just expect 4 other moderators to show up and agree with them.

It takes less votes (time/moderators) to change an incorrectly posted question to a comment.

Also when the change to a question is made the "history" of where/when it originated (device) as well as not having any sort of sensible title being created also requires more attention.

IMnsHO encouraging them to "accept as answers" some of the 350 pages of unanswered questions is a more productive use of everyone time.

Thanks

Do you have an example of this? I tend to agree with you, but I'm interested in who's been working on it.

Sorry nothing I can link to at this time. Look at recent failed votes (only 3 of the 5 needed).

qpunk, & Robert were putting a lot of these up - last week there were 11 pages of stuff requiring 5 votes.

Some I wouldn't agree to voting on, some I did, Some I tried to change to comments (required fewer moderators to vote).

I tried to educate via comments on one or two of the selections for moderation, but I don't even know if the moderators saw my comments.

I just got so frustrated that these very old comments were getting attention when there’s 350 pages of unanswered questions that either need an answer voted, or need to be archived as unanswerable.
