OK found another bug here. This one is harder to show. I was trying to alter someones answer from accepted back to an unecepted answer for some reason when I did that the answer was deleted! Here's the question: https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/2309.... The OP had posted a picture in the answer which he also marked as the accepted answer (clearly it wasn't).

We don't have the option to unaccept an answer to anyone but the original author of the question. I'd guess that you just clicked the "Remove as not an answer" option.
Does this clear up your confusion, or am I misunderstanding something else?

mmm ... I could have sworn I had done it once before. So, if someone makes by mistake an answer which clearly is not an answer (in this case he posted a screenshot) as I instructed him to do. I can't back wind it. All I can do is alter it to a comment and then back to clear it?

You should be able to switch it to an update. That sounds best to me.
