The non-magenetic screw instruction is wrong

I’ve tried to correct the non-ferrous/non-magnetic screw instructions three times for both the 5 and 5s.

https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iPhone+5s+H...

Each time, the correction was denied (by iFixit staff).

Why? It’s obvious to anyone who has fixed a 5 or 5s that the instructions are wrong, and worse, the instructions that are there on the site will damage the device and screw with the magnetometer when reassembled.

The non-magnetic screw is longer and in the upper right, not shorter or in the lower left.

Any hints as to why were the corrections denied and why three times?

Hey CS! We'll look into this and verify the screw placement ASAP. If the guide is wrong we will definitely approve your corrections. Thanks for pointing out the problem.

I'll update this thread when it's done.

Hey again! You were right, and we were wrong. The iPhone 5s guide has been corrected. Thanks for your vigilance! I did check out the regular iPhone 5 guide as well, but it doesn't seem to have the same issue. Let us know if you see any more problems.

Try to attract the attention of someone with a higher rep level like mayer, oldturkey03. or Dan. There rep levels and knowledge of all things apple can likely get the change made
